As Whirl climbed to his favorite look-out spot, he saw a figure moving slowly through the tall grass. He quickly leaped down and scurried to the shape. Hiding himself in a thicket, Whirl peeked out. He saw a slender, tortoise-shell she-cat moving slowly along. She must be very hungry. Whirl observed her ribs and how slowly she was moving. You could only find prey around here if you knew where to look.
Whirl stepped out, startling the she-cat."Please!" She yowled in despair."Just kill me! I can't live!" Whirl chuckled lightly."What are you talking about? I'm not going to h hurt you." She stared in disbelief, but realized it didn't matter."What do you want?" Whirl sat down and licked his paw."I was going to help you. There is prey back at my tribe?" The she-cat's eyes gleamed suddenly, not even bothering to ask what a tribe was.
"Would you like to join us?" He said, knowing he had her hooked."Yes, yes I do! Take me there!" The she-cat urged him. Whirl nodded and brushed through the grass.

"All tribe members gather!" Whirl called, back on his ledge. The others gathered as the she-cat tore into a thrush."We have another cat joining us." He looked at her again."She will be a Hunter, and her name is to be," The she-cat looked up."My name's Dawn." Whirl nodded."However, now the full extension is Dawn of many colors." She nodded, accepting the name."That will be all." Whirl bounded down."Moon, please show Dawn where to hunt."
